My experience with the Infinity Seat

A journey started during RACE ACROSS AMERICA

I met the Infinity seat during RACE ACROSS AMERICA 2015, following the race of the famous ultracycler Marko Baloh. The following February, I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Vince in his shop in California, before returning to Italy. This meeting was truly SPECIAL.

I started using the Infinity seat to tackle my problems on the road bike, then extending its use to Gravel and MTB bikes as well. Over the years, I have followed many cyclists during RAAM and other ultracycling events, managing to solve their problems thanks to this innovative seat.

Whether you are an amateur cyclist or an ultra-cyclist looking for the ultimate solution to saddle pain, here you will find all the answers about the Infinity seat.

For first-timers to this revolutionary design, we suggest the E2 model (the classic).

However, the range offers solutions for every need:

  • E3 Seat: The most comfortable of the series, featuring a thicker leather layer for maximum comfort over very long distances.
  • E1X Seat: The "closed" model, ideal for those looking for a less extreme aesthetic impact thanks to an ultra-light covering that covers the central opening.

Every week, Dr. Vince and Diane ship seats all over the world. Although transit from the USA to Italy is rapid (about 3-4 days), final delivery times depend on Italian customs. Customs clearance can vary from 2 to 20 days; unfortunately, this is an external process over which no one, including Infinity, has direct control.

Yes. Being an Extra-EU product, in addition to the cost of the seat and shipping, customs duties must be considered. These costs can vary approximately from 0€ to 90€ depending on the tariffs applied at the time of import.

The Infinity seat requires an adaptation period. Don't limit yourself to a short test: we recommend riding on it as much as possible for at least 4-5 long rides. Only then will your body be able to perceive the real state of well-being and the absence of pressure.

Start with the measurements of your previous saddle (height and setback). During the first rides, always carry a 5mm Allen key with you: the Infinity design is unique and may require small millimeter adjustments in tilt or fore/aft to find the "magic spot".

Certainly, but keep in mind that the Infinity seat is a product outside traditional schemes. Many bike fitters may not be familiar with its structure. We recommend initially following the pressure relief sensations following our assembly advice.

No saddle can replace medical advice or cure existing pathologies. However, thanks to the total relief of the perineal area, the Infinity seat is decisive in the PREVENTION phase and can drastically reduce discomfort related to inflammation, avoiding the crushing of soft tissues.

Yes. From personal experience, using a chamois with the Infinity seat is often superfluous (90% useless). The fewer layers there are between skin and saddle, the less friction there is. Furthermore, without a chamois, shorts dry much faster in case of rain or sweat, avoiding chafing.

The seat is universal. Whether you do Granfondos, 500km stage trips, or MTB rides, Infinity adapts to every discipline. The concept of "many kilometers" is subjective: the seat is designed to guarantee comfort regardless of distance.

No, as it is an Extra-EU product, returns are not possible. However, given the high demand, these seats maintain excellent value in the used market and can be resold easily on specialized online channels.

Examine the seat carefully as soon as you receive it, before mounting it. In case of rare manufacturing defects (ungluing or breakage) after the first few rides, send a photo and order number to info@infinitybikeseat.com. We will help you manage the replacement with Diane, remembering that any new customs costs will not be covered by Infinity.

Considering the significant investment, if you are not 100% convinced, we advise against immediate purchase. If you wish to test its effectiveness, I can provide you with a test seat for a few days, so you can decide with total peace of mind.
